Community, sustainability education. Daufuskie Community Farm
A community-based nonprofit farm on a bridgeless island, committed to teaching and practicing sustainable farming.
About the Farm
Community supported, community led.
The farm is home to chickens, ducks, geese, goats, honeybees, a garden, orchard and sawmill. Sprawling over 8 acres, the farm has been cleared, developed and maintained completely by volunteers.
We offer daily tours, both self-guided and guided. Click below to visit he goats and geese!
About the Community
The farm is located on Daufuskie Island, a small barrier island off the coast of South Carolina. Only assessable by boat, this tiny beach community of several hundred residents is uniquely refreshing.
The island has a tight-knit community. Boasting 3 miles of white sand beaches, beautifully untouched maritime forests, limited development, and rich history Daufuskie Island is like no other. Without the modern conveniences of many towns, like a grocery store or a hospital, life on Daufuskie Island is different.
